{"id":434,"date":"2011-09-27T10:50:36","date_gmt":"2011-09-27T14:50:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kb1awv.com\/?p=434"},"modified":"2011-09-27T10:50:36","modified_gmt":"2011-09-27T14:50:36","slug":"netflix-instant-picks-for-september","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/idlenot.com\/?p=434","title":{"rendered":"Netflix Instant Picks for September"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I once again have what I believe\u00a0is an impressive batch of movies that are all offered as Instant View (streaming) selections through Netflix.\u00a0 All of the featured flicks on this list rate 10\/10 on my scale.\u00a0 As a bonus I will also include a couple of runner ups that I rate at 8 or better.\u00a0 They may not get you real excited but they at least won\u2019t make you feel like you wasted your time by watching them.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=87kezJTpyMI\">The Way Back<\/a>, 2010, 2 hr and 13 min.; History \/ Adventure \/ True; Rating: 10\/10<\/p>\n<p>The Russians also had labor camps during WWII.\u00a0 The people in those camps were a mixture of nationalities.\u00a0 They were incarcerated\u00a0for reasons of religion, politics, and ordinary criminal offenses.\u00a0 The camp described in this movie was in Russian Siberia. \u00a0This brutal true story tells of the escape made by a small band of prisoners who were determined not to die in prison.\u00a0 The goal of their trek was to reach India; that is one incredible walk.<\/p>\n<p>Starring: Jim Sturgess, Ed Harris, Collin Farrell<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.blockbuster.com\/browse\/catalog\/movie\/trailer\/220958\">Tattoo: A Love Story,<\/a> 2002, 1 hr and 35 min.; Romantic \/ Independent; Rating: 10\/10<\/p>\n<p>Sarah is a very straight and proper elementary school teacher.\u00a0 Then one of her students brings a tattoo artist into class for show and tell.\u00a0 This is not your typical romantic comedy.\u00a0 The film was cute, funny and different.\u00a0 You just have to watch it \u2013 don\u2019t let the<br \/>\nkooky storyline scare you away.<\/p>\n<p>Starring: Megan Edwards, Virgil Mignanelli, and Benjamin Burdick<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=riO44ku2wqo\">Suspect Zero,<\/a> 2004, 1 hr and 35 min.; Mystery \/ Detective; Rating: 10\/10<\/p>\n<p>We begin with a FBI agent who has a rather poor past performance.\u00a0 He has made some big mistakes in the past and is presently on the downside of a lackluster career.\u00a0 Then he uncovers a very strange coincidence regarding a string of murders.<br \/>\nIt seems that all of the victims were themselves serial killers.\u00a0 Sounds a little like Dexter, doesn\u2019t it?\u00a0 This is an awesome original film that is sure to keep you in your seat (no bathroom breaks with this one).<\/p>\n<p>Starring: Aaron Eckhart, Ben Kingsley, Carrie-Anne Moss<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=W7oUUAHDNJc\">Apocalypto,<\/a>\u00a02006, 2 hr and 18 min; Adventure \/ Drama; Rating: 10\/10<\/p>\n<p>A Central American Indian tribe is raided\u00a0by Mayans who are in need of people to sacrifice to their sun-god.\u00a0 The action centers on a heroic native who is determined to escape.\u00a0 Mel Gibson directed this awesome and gruesome adventure.\u00a0 Put aside any distaste you may have for Gibson and let this movie make your heart beat fast for its entire length.\u00a0 I thought I was going to have a cardiac arrest during this one!<\/p>\n<p>Note: This movie contains brutal violence and significant historical inaccuracies.\u00a0 Just watch it for the pure animal excitement, great acting, and splendid photography.<\/p>\n<p>Starring: Rudy Youngblood, Dalia Hernandez, Jonathan Brewer<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=EjPzjZILYuU\">Jane Eyre<\/a>, 1996, 116 minutes; Romance; Rating: 10\/10<\/p>\n<p>The classic Charlotte Bronte novel comes to life once again in the form of a movie.\u00a0 This is one romance that many have heard about and an equal number have read.\u00a0 Now it is the time to watch the movie. \u00a0The director Franco Zeffirelli has created a wonderfully rewarding film.\u00a0 Classic romance at its best.<\/p>\n<p>Starring: William Hurt, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Joan Plowright<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Now for\u00a0a couple\u00a0of runer up films:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=UM6-VeQ_KPk\">Who\u2019s Harry Crumb<\/a>, 1989, 89 minutes; Comedy, Mystery; Rating : 9\/10<\/p>\n<p>If you are a John Candy fan, as I am, this is a must see movie.\u00a0 Candy plays Harry Crumb, a bungling detective and heir to a detective agency run by a creep.\u00a0 This movie is great fun in the John Candy tradition.\u00a0 It is a bit dated but well worth the watch.\u00a0 I recently watched an old interview with John Candy where he complained that Tristar Pictures did a terrible job of promoting the movie and the result was a bomb.\u00a0 I\u2019d have to agree \u2013 this is a fun video that has taken lots of bad press.<\/p>\n<p>Starring: John Candy, Jeffrey Jones, Annie Potts<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=1bWWE-ZbR4Y\">The Broken<\/a>, 2008, 1 hr and 28 min.;
